Girls State Basketball

Last weekend we went to Richfield to watch our niece, Tristi, and her basketball team in the state 1A Tournament. We went for 3 days and had a great time. The kids always love staying in hotels and swimming, but this trip was a little different and a lot more fun then most for them, because a lot of people from our community also go and stay at the same hotel so the kids have a lot of friends to hang out with all weekend.

The girls did a great job and ended up taking 3rd place overall. Tristi played great and we were so proud of her and the rest of the team for that matter.

Boys state is next week and we are looking forward to going and supporting them also.

Great Job Girls and Good Luck to the Boys!!!!!

This is a picture of all the kids from our school in the swimming pool. This is only one corner of the pool. The kids had so much fun, we had a hard time getting them out.

Poor little Peyton is so allergic to chlorine. This is one of his legs after he had been swimming. We have medicine to put on him before and after he swims, but this hotel puts so much chlorine in their pool that he broke out so bad. We had to tell him he couldn't swim anymore and we promised him that we would take him bowling if he would stay out of the pool. After a lot of medicated cream and benadryl he looks good now.
POOR KID!!!

The last morning that were in Richfield, this is what we woke up to. It is so crazy, because we have had such a mild winter and haven't had much snow. We go down south where you would think that we would get out of snow and they have had a ton this year. It was kind of fun to wake up to a pretty white morning. There was probably around 8 or so inches on the ground. It was all pretty much melted by the time we left that night because it wasn't to cold. I decided I better get a picture so that we could have one winter picture for this year. LOL
